July 24, 2019, female leaders around the world

Over three hundred times, a female has been elected or appointed head of state. Even in the United States, we have had an acting female head of state. When President Roosevelt, on several occasions, became incapacitated, his wife, Eleanor, took his place and was acting president. She made decisions and signed papers as if she was the actual, elected president.

A list of female elected or appointed heads of state can be found on Wikipedia and at your local library.

Women have had power since the beginning of time. However, males wrote the history books and, oops, just accidentally left that part of history out. Remember, it is call his-story.
